To me, public service isn’t about a title. It’s about listening, leading, and finding solutions that deliver results for people in our community.
So after a million steps and counting, I’m still out walking neighborhoods to hear from you and to report back on what we’re accomplishing for you in Topeka. Together, we’re finding a better way!
— Chris
Working to Bring Our
Cost of Living Down
- Eliminated the state sales tax on groceries.
- Ended stealth property tax increases.
- Paid down state debt and shored up our teachers’ retirement fund.
- Delivered healthcare solutions to lower costs and increase access.
- Lowered taxes — including no income tax on Social Security — so you keep more for your family’s budget.

The Mission Continues

REIN IN PROPERTY TAXES
We must reduce the growth of government spending and debt at all levels so property taxes can be held in check. Taxes shouldn’t go up just because the value of your home does.

KEEP OUR NEIGHBORHOODS SAFE
Public safety is essential to our quality of life. We must equip our brave first responders with the tools they need.

INVEST IN THE NEXT GENERATION
As we fully fund public schools, it’s important to focus on results in the classroom, not political agendas, to help our students and teachers succeed.

HOLD TOPEKA ACCOUNTABLE
Kansans should have a citizen legislature, accountable to you and not the special interests. Let’s pass term limits; crack down on government waste, fraud, and abuse; and stop tax dollars from going to lobbyists.

SAFEGUARD THE HOMELAND
We must defend freedom by protecting military bases, critical infrastructure, and agriculture in Kansas from communist China and other foreign adversaries.
